As a Doula, I support the choices you make, and respect Dad as well as Mom as you bring your child into the world. If you are giving birth without the father present, I can be your primary support person, or work with a friend or family member you designate.

and the Doula...
One of the best things about working with a Birth Doula is that you and your husband or partner can choose the birth experience you desire. Some couples want Dad to be the primary coach during labor. In those cases, the Doula will provide an experienced female presence for the couple, and act as backup when Dad needs a break. Other couples prefer the Doula to act as primary coach, while Dad provides loving emotional support. My role as your Birth Doula is to help you have a peaceful, relaxed and joyous birth experience, just as you want it to be.
